TPG Training Services – Changes to OSHA Hazard Communication Standard

ARE YOU IN COMPLIANCE??

OSHA has modified the Hazard Communication Standard to conform with the United Nations Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of classification and labeling of chemicals. The GHS will improve safety & health of workers through more effective communication of chemical hazards in the workplace. Even though chemical manufacturers and distributors have until December of 2015 to be in full compliance of these changes, all employers are required to train employees by 12/1/13 on the revised hazard classification, new label elements and the new Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
